How they feel MT1A helped
We appointed MT1A as a mentor to the post holder with a remit to:
- increase capacity to sustain a strategic overview through a complex and busy agenda;
- prioritise work streams to deliver the best results;
- develop additional skills associated with the role
Mark @ MT1A was extremely effective in both extending the capacity of the post holder to sustain a strategic approach and in developing specific skills. The latter included prioritising with a focus of activity on work streams which would deliver the best results, including cost benefit analysis in applying for funding; and interpersonal styles and motivations for getting the best out of the team.
The enhanced skills and confidence of the post holder have been instrumental in the
development of a county strategy which has delivered against all key targets,
is effective, innovative and has the endorsement of the Home Office.
